I had the privilege of watching the inspiring Grenville Hancox at work with Pimlico Skylarks on Monday! The group has been running for two years with over thirty members. The fun at the session was so uplifting. The singing was joyful and the dancing at the end made the two hours fly by.
In November I visited Parkinsongsters in Bury St Edmunds. One of the partners of one of ladies who came to the session had a birthday a few days later. When he left on his regular morning walk she opened the window and sang “Happy Birthday” to his retreating back. He turned and said it was the most beautiful thing he had ever heard. She would never have thought of doing such a thing or having the confidence to do it if she had not “found her voice” at Parkinsongsters.
